What is SWESA?

 

The SouthWest Edmonton Seniors Association (SWESA) is a registered charity non-profit association established in 2011 to address the social, cultural and recreational interests of people over 55 in southwest Edmonton.

SWESA has grown rapidly as a grassroots organization.  In November 2011, five people came together to form a committee to respond to the need for seniors programs in southwest Edmonton.  Now SWESA is a registered charity with a volunteer board of directors, many volunteers and three employees dedicated to providing opportunities for seniors to gather to pursue their interests, socialize and discover new activities.

HEALTHY AND ACTIVE AGING

SWESA enhances the quality of life for seniors and supports healthy and active aging by providing a variety of programs and information, and by creating an environment where it is easy to meet and make friends.

Programs and administration location:

1975 111 St NW, Edmonton, AB, inside of the William Lutzky YMCA.  

Monday/Wednesday/Friday 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Tuesday/Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

We hold some scheduled programs at the Booster Juice Recreation Centre, located at 2051 Leger Rd NW, CLICK HERE for the map.
